Another acting legend has departed from this world, aged 71, passed away from pneumonia (thanks to correction by Wishbone). RIP Bob.

My childhood memories will always be associated with him in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and Hook, but I've come to discover all his other excellent 70s and 80s stuff over the past decade or so (Mona Lisa, The Long Good Friday). I was devastated when he announced his retirement, as he's always been one of my favourite actors.

Of course, Eurogamer decides to emphasise his role in the Super Mario Bros. movie. I mean, I did enjoy it, but making that so prominent on a role he hated so adamantly is a bit tactless.

Rest in Peace...

And for the emphasis on Mario movie, it is a gaming site and the movie is gaming related.
Eddie is dead? Oh dammit! First Harold Ramis, then The Warrior, now Bob Hoskins?

Rest in Peace, Bob Hoskins.
Just last night I re-watched Mrs Henderson Presents (2005) and today I find out that Bob Hoskins, one of my favourite actors, is no longer with us.

RIP
Pink's manager in The Wall, don't forget that. Small part but he was impossible to miss in it. Great actor!
I was always impressed at how well he played American characters. Accents are a difficult thing to pull off well. When I would read about him, I'd always expect to see that he was born in Brooklyn or something, not Suffolk. Great actor. RIP...
Eerie. I watched the Nostalgia Critic's new video on Roger Rabbit just this morning.

Then I went to work. Came home, went online and saw the sad news. :(

He died from pneumonia, not leukaemia.

He will be missed. He was a fantastic actor.
Rest in peace, Bob and thank you for everything. You will be missed....

The great ones are dying and the replacements are not there:(
Watched Prayer for the Dying the other night and wondered what he was up to these days, very sad news :(

That's even more sad.
I watch Roger Rabbit on new year's eve - sad to hear it. It's sad to see so many legends from my childhood dying - and the modern day industry just doesn't produce them anymore or in a far lower amount anyway ... .
Niks Matvejevs and Vera Singajevska died this week too.

Well, sheeeeit. That'll teach me to publish such grave news after having worked 11 hours without a break.

Thanks for the correction - updated.
Poor Bob.

I'm sure Jet Li is sat on his grave watching over him. He was a great actor (even if that particular film was awful).
