Fuzzyfireball: lol no matter what they released chances are a group of people would be upset.

Unless it was System Shock or something...
Lol, imagine if they released COD...

Wouldn't mind that personally, especially if they released the first or second for lower than $20.

Soyeong: I think there are very few games that can live up to the hype, and even it it were one the best games of a genre, there will still be many people who are disappointed because it's not their preferred genre. If it's a newer game, people will accuse GOG of loosing their focus, but if it's an older game, chances are higher that more people will already have it. The best chance GOG has at pleasing the most people would be to release one of those rare games that have all sorts licensing issues, which I doubt will happen, but it's best to keep expectations low and be pleasantly surprised if it does.

JaqFrost: Don't they normally build expectations above and beyond what is actually released, though? People get really hyped and then go 'That's it?!' over every other promo, or so it seems. =/
Well yeah I been around long enough to know that and I have seen the fallouts of many, many GOG and CDProjeckt conferences so I know to not get ones hopes up, and I know that few games will ever live up to the hype yet I really think they could do better then Bards Tale for their "Special 500th game" all I personally want to see is a game that is not available anywhere else hell even if GOG made their 500th game the Enchanter series from Infocom even that would be better then Bards tale. That's all I'm saying

Wizardry would be cool. Always heard good things, so I'd like to see it come here.

Wizardry would be a nice choice even if it's Wizardry's 1-5 with 6-8 to follow in a separate set. Sure there hard and in the case of Wizardry 4 which was often just down right sadistic,.one floor in 4 was a minefield where instead of walls there were mines so you had to tred and map the floor very, very carefully.

http://www.tk421.net/wizardry/maps/map4-08.gif -a map of said floor

Still despite their difficulty and in the case of 1-5 the simple graphics(it's just a wireframe dungeon with static graphics for enemies) there still hold up pending you don't mind mapping the floors yourself and the difficulty.

If by some miracle GOG does ever get the Wizardry games I just hope they know to set the machine emulation in the dosbox config's for the first five to CGA or else the game will be purples, whites, cyans, ect.

Wizardry 1 running under DOSbox CGA Macine emulatiion -http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g169/Evilmonkey6669/wiznonpup.png
and for compairson what it normally looks like without:
