So, now that this game came out on PC, it just HAD to be the first thing I've grabbed off my salary. See I'm fan of two things: Metal and unique game design. And Brutal Legend just has all of it - the entire game is clever, playful, charismatic and just generally awesome. Well actually - the game itself is quite average, but manages to always keep itself interesting and fun by varying all the time, jumping madly from hack'n'slash trough racing game, open world exploration right to real-time strategy game, which is, admittedly, the weakest part of the experience (even tho I just don't find it as bad as everybody claimed it was on the consoles so far.)
So basically, what's the point of this topic? To get people to buy it! This game is an apparent labor of love, just go and buy it, it's awesome! You can ride your car amongst gigantic stone swords sticking out of the ground with Manowar playing from the car's radio, just... what's not to like? And aside from that you get all the qualities of Double Fine game: Good story, great characters, fantastic characterization.
trailer. I guess.
