I just finished the first free episode Telltale supplied for Back to the Future, and I have to say, I'm hooked. The writing is excellent, the plot is interesting, and the cliffhanger at the end of the episode makes you want to see more. Telltale's still got it!

I thought it was...okay. The puzzles were embarrassingly easy.
Now if they could just add this little thing in it... how is it called alredy... ah yes : gameplay.

Personally I have been very disapointed by this first episode, it's first supposed to be a game not some low budget animated movie. (speaking of which, as a BTTF fan I find the time jump sequence to be pretty lame)

There isn't any chalenge, not any real puzzle (by real I mean some where you have to actually think), just go where you are told, talk to the character and voila it's more than enough to complete all the tasks even those you haven't yet received and it's very short even by Telltale standard.

I havent yet played episode 2 yet though so maybe they improved things.

Basically my thoughts about the episode as well.

I agree. It was not funny, it was not challenging, it was not anything. Perfectly and completely bland.
Didn't like it, really boring IMO. No wonder they delayed giving it out I would imagine their pre-orders wouldn't have been as healthy if they had given it out free on release as they originally intented.
Despite the negative reception buy most of you so far I grabbed it anyway. I'll see how bad it is.

Also a little off topic but anyone seen the jurassic park trailers yet from telltale?
Agreed with everyone else, have no idea why anyone's interested in the games this company puts out.

Nah, it's just BTTF (or this episode) that truly stunk. I really liked Tales of Monkey Island, myself (even though I approached it with some prejudice, I admit). They actually tried to come up with something relatively fresh and new there, and we all know the franchise needed that very badly. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I think they pulled it off quite well.

(On the other hand, I've played the free episode of the first Sam and Max season and wasn't really impressed. I'm told it got a lot better, though.)
Tales of Monkey Island and Sam & Max 3 were both great.

The rest are pretty bland, Back to the Future included.
