When I put in the 3.5 floppy disk for Mega Man 3. My computer asks me to format it. It means it got corrupted or something.

Now I'm thinking of buying it again along w/ the first Mega Man. At Amazon.com; I found the Street Fighter Series. It says It comes w/ Mega Man & Mega Man 3 (The MS-DOS versions) in a CD. Should I get that one or the stand alone floppy disks off of Ebay?

I hate to dissapoint you but the DOS version of Megaman is absolutely terrible
Good jebus, Megaman was released on Dos? Anyway, I'm assuming you're running PC version games because you don't have home consoles (There's a 10 megaman game collection from one generation back), but if you absolutely have to use the PC then you'd probably be better off with an emulator.
Ideally I would recommend against doing ;) (Those games were not very good).

As far as I know, the street fighter CD contains both the games in all their DOS-platforming "glory", unaltered from their early floppy days, so go for the CD.

I read a review of it and it's absolutely tragic that the PC port was so awful. In fact it reminds me a lot of what happened with Renegade 3. Yikes. And to think that I was considering getting a copy of this myself.
/me looks at his MegaMan3 disks. I have it, so You don't have to.

You don't want it, really. As a kid, i used to think, that one day, i'll collect all the copies of bad games, and lock them in a big safe. [hey, i was a kid..] Megaman 3 was one of those games.
I played Mega Man 3 alot when I was a kid. And I just want to relive those moments again.

Since you own it, I doubt anyone would look down on you for replacing the broken disc by getting it from an abandonware site.

But my floppy disc is broken. Every time I put it in, it wants to format it no matter how hard I try it tries to format it. Now I don't have it anymore. :-(

Yes, the disc may be broken but you still own the 'right' to play the game. When I said get it from an abandonware site, in case I wasn't clear, I meant download it.

Of course, if you really would rather get a working replacement disc by all means go ahead, it was just a suggestion.

I'd say most the Nintendo and Capcom ports to DOS where dreadful :P

Megaman, Double Dragon, Castlevania... haha the list goes on.

There are really good NES emulators out there.
Don't buy floppy disks at ebay. Buy and old cartidge.
Then you can get a dump from the same cartridge play Megaman at the PC without break any law.
