I don't know, I've never written a review but every review I read is an insane long flood of words. There's no space for paragraph, emphasis, etc.

This is really tedious for long review and IMO long reviews should be encouraged but this is IMO as a user a down-turner, because it's simply no fun and it's easy to get lost in the monotonic word stream.

I simply assume it's not currently possible, I can't believe no one wants to put formatting into his review which costs his time.

thanks

I imagine there's some sort of moderation process for them to check for bad content, but reformatting each review would probably take way too long.

Maybe some community proofreaders could be sorted? This happens on a few sites I'm on with reader reviews, the staff simply don't have time themselves to go through everything so rely on some committed volunteers. I'd throw my hat in to volunteer for it, at least, I have decent experience in doing so.
There used to be formatting (at least breaking into paragraphs), I remember it very well, but it seems to be lost with the new GOG.com.
I want to write all my reviews in Comic Sans.
Can you edit them now? I don't seem to remember being able to. But yes, the return of formatting is a must.

I've just checked, and haven't seen a way to edit your reviews. Also, you apparently can't comment on them anymore, which was available eariler.

(Maybe the lack of formatting is due to the decrease in horizontal space for reviews; they only have half a page now, as opposed to the whole width of the page earlier, and it may have messed up the original formatting, and thus they may have decided to eliminate it completely.)

I can understand the lack of formatting on the abbreviated version. But it would be nice if they added it back in when you click 'read more'.
It'd be nice to be able to enable reviews to be divided into sections so if you want a wall of text thats okay but if you want to have seperate sections for graphics, sound, gameplay etc you can
It's especially annoying because I know that reviewers can (or at least could) add paragraph ends to their texts, which are apparently omitted in the displayed version.
