Chimerical: You might try looking for
The Maze of the Black Spider
sorry no links to screen shots
There is a Youtube video of it, so I know that isn't it.
The screen was really just the bee and the spider (and maybe a flower) and the spider was about a quarter of the screen in all its huge ugly pixelly glory.

Not it, but the spider looks pretty close.
The legs were straighter than in that game and the spider was larger, but the graphics were pretty close to that.

Zeeaire: ...and as I've said I'm really happy you found Plague of the Moon... I was looking for it for such a long time and noone ever succeeded in finding it. I brings back so much wonderful memories. I feel relief to finally know that it isn't lost in memory forever.
for a reward I would like to let you choose a GOG game for up to 5.99 $, maybe you got one on your wishlist?
Thank you, you are too kind. :)
Zeeaire, I have a possibility for you on the second game. Have you taken a look at The Legacy: Realm of Terror? It's a horror adventure/RPG from 1993 which takes place in a (mostly) empty haunted house. The box cover shows an image of the staircase in the main room, so that may be the image that you're thinking of. The game isn't on GOG, but you can find an article about it at wikipedia (The_Legacy:_Realm_of_Terror), and the box art can easily be found with a Google Image seach..

I'm not a big horror game fan myself, so the only other title that I can think of is Clive Barker's Undying, and that's probably too recent to be what you're thinking of.

Hope this helps.

mabrookes: Could the second one be D? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_%28video_game%29

Seems unlikely but thought id mention it just in case.
no it's not :( ...but another exciting game...reading through all the guesses I get the feeling I have far too little time ^.^
but seems like D isn't a very extensive game.

thanks for your detailed answer :) but both of them aren't the game I'm looking for, they have different graphics/gameplay..., nevertheless both are great games, even though The Legacy it's pretty difficult...tried to play it but I failed miserably.

I guess I'll just be happy with Plague of the Moon and leave the other one an unsolved mystery to myself...
probably I just don't have enough clues for it or I have to be satisfied with the idea that I've played that (crappy) Ghostly Desire thingy. well,if I'll come across it eventually I'll actualize my post.
All of you have already helped me too much, very nice of you ! :)

okay I've about given up on looking for games,

just one question does the below screenshot look like it is the right one?

http://www.classicamiga.com/images/stories/jreviews/games/N/Nightlong022.jpg

it probably a super longshot, but after a few more hours of trying I don't want to leave any stone unturned, best I could come up with.

no alas not it only took place in a mansion but the screenshot is indeed not far away from how it was looking.
I looked for it again through some sites but there wasn't a track of it,
it seems like it has been drowned in my memory.
haha you know, today I dreamed of that game but in my dreams it was kinda creepy and it didn't helped very much, either.
I'm hoping for a divine afflatus xD but thanks for your willingness to help that's very kind of you :)
