Arkose: They may well get their wish next generation if Microsoft and/or Sony make Steam-style activation standard, with the disc only offering lesser functionality without the single-use code. EA Sports games already do this for multiplayer functionality.
At which I will be even less tempted to by games than I am now. I personally don't like selling or trading my games, but I like knowing I could. I also like knowing that if I want a really old game that I can probably find a used copy at a Vintage Stock or on ebay.

i dont see how it is "not bad", they are attacking second hand market, and implying again that customers that actually pay for their games are worse than pirates, also even if you dont hate that idea, it always goes step by step, next time something happens where you think "oh god, why are thy treating us like this?" but its too late, since this one time it was ok for you that paying customers get treated like crap
