any hopes these games will be relesed??? man i loved them!!!!
Quote from Wikipedia:
"SCi had originally planned Carmageddon 4 for a late 2005 release. Little to no information was released about the game, then SCi (now owned by Eidos) put development on hold for unspecified reasons.[9] SCi and Eidos went on to focus on other projects, while Square Enix Europe obtained the series IP rights. On June 1, 2011, Stainless Games revealed that they had re-acquired the rights to Carmageddon. A new title, Carmageddon: Reincarnation, is in early development for a 2012 release.[10]"

So I guess it's up to Stainless Games if they decide to show up here.
I'm currently playing Carmageddon on my oldskool pc. And I have a sealed Carmageddon big box! I will open it on doomsday, 21/12/2012.

Im quite sure the Carmageddon 1-2 will not be on Gog because of their soundtrack.

No, but I can't open it on regular day just like that. As a matter of fact I don't want to open it at all lol it's like killing a unicorn.

ok
Well this is strange. I swear I remember the original Carmageddon (game only, not splat pack) being released as freeware. Now I can't seem to find it anywhere. I ended up getting frustrated and went straight to www.carmageddon.com, but if they are on there I can't find them, but there were quite a few people talking about downloading in the forums so... yeah. Iunno.

I loved this series and still have my original CDs around there somewhere I think, but I too would dearly love Proper Digital editions of the whole series. Well, maybe not TDR. That game was pretty arse until you modded the hell out of it.

I'm pretty sure that Warner own a good chunk of the rights to the music in the first game. Being game publishers themselves they're not about to cooperate on that one.
ya that was tight with umm... anthrax? i forget who did the sountrack some 80s band

Good thinking, I need to plan something special for Doomsday (TM) as well!

You're probably thinking of Iron Maiden and Carmegeddon 2. Don't have a clue about who owns that, but I doubt - being a part of the music industry - they're any more generous.

Fear Factory did most of the Carmageddon 1 soundtrack. They were instrumentals taken from the Demanufacture album released in the mid 90s. The band is still going despite more line up changes than the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
yeah i have the lame n64Carma id Much rather have 1 and 2 and your right i was thinking iron maiden!
Manic mansion and Day of the tentacle would be great to have too

Yeah, GOG needs to get Lucus Arts signed before we can have the SCUMM games here, I think something like 5 of the top 10 most wanted games are Lucus Arts adventures or something...
Isn't the original Maniac Masion included in the second one as a 'game within a game' though - if you play one of the arcade games or something?
