It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I tried posting a certain question for a long while but kept getting the screen "404 oh noes, there is nothing there" and I'm wondering if it's the use of symbols or using a website address? Does anyone experience this too?

Me too, I've tried a few times in the last few minutes. I'm worried that they'll all show up now and spam the front page since I've had that happen before on another board.

I mention DOS Games Archives in it...

I know that if formatting is wrong you are notified and given a chance to correct it. Not sure if that's related...
The forum's been a little buggy in the last few weeks because of the large traffic from the holiday sale. It'll come back to normal eventually.
I believe due to that spammage the other week, you now have to have "x" rep or been signed up a while to post links.
Can't remember which thread I saw it in, but it was said by one of them blue people from up yonder I'm sure!

Yeah, it's a forum bug where the software doesn't make sure that something has actually been posted before kicking you back to the forum.

It's definitely worse when there's a ton of things going on in the fora. But, it seems like higher latency connections are worse.

It's been like this for years at this point, I wouldn't expect it to ever be fixed.
