Every Christmas since I was in 2nd grade I've received some sort of video game under the tree. Nothin is more nostalgic for me than drinkin a cup of hot tea, munchin on Christmas foods and divin into a new game Christmas day. A few games that really bring out those Christmas feelings are: Daytona USA, Christmas NiGHTS sampler, Shining of the Holy Ark,Mega Man Legends and Yakuza. Sega in general has been a Christmas tradition.

Any body else have similar Christmas gaming memories/traditions?

When I was younger getting a full price release on tape for the C64 was awesome, once the family stopped watching the early morning stuff I was allowed to put the C64 on and play whatever I had been bought.

Last year I received Skyrim off my mother for Christmas, finished the main campaign, Companions and Dark Brotherhood a few weeks back and clocking up around 78 hours on it. Have yet to restore Thieves Guild to former glory doing the quests that make you the guild leader and have made a start on mages guild stuff so still got a fair bit to be getting on with!

That's how it was for me. I had to wait till family morning Christmas activities were over till I could bust out the Saturn or Playstation and lemme tell you it was much more difficult to wait when I was little.
Skyrim has a perfect wintery atmosphere for the time of year. I was playin that last Christmas as well!

Yeah, we used to have to get up and get our breakfast first, then while unwrapping presents we sat and watched whatever Christmas specials were on TV. During the 80's it was usually things like Mickeys Christmas Carol & Yogis First Christmas. Would be chomping at the bit waiting to be allowed to use the TV with us only having one in the entire house!
