Does anyone on here remember this game? Despite some very plain looking graphics by todays standards, I am yet to encounter a flight sim that has the same feel, same heart stopping realism, physics etc.. this game ruined WWII flight simulators, cause they all felt fake after this one!! Helps that the guy who broke the sound barrier actually helped develop the game!!

Yep, very funny simulator by those days, but for today it's too old, even for GOG's fanatics. It's a shame, this game deserves a good remake.
"Welcome to Chuck Yeager's Air Combat" ...and it had real speech too! I liked how you could setup fantasy scenarios, mixing craft from WWII, Korea or Vietnam. Taking a prop plane into battle against a missile-toting, radar-equipped jet was thrilling.
Man, I'd forgotten about this game! Lots of fun. The only flight sim that I know I spent more time with was Gunship 2000. :)
my favourite thing to do was take out nazi bombers.. it was actually kinda hard and made me realize how big of a job pilots had back then,, I think I am remembering the graphics as they were to me back then, pretty good on a 486 (lol)
