Hi. The only civillization game I played was 5 and loved it. Now I was looking to play other civ. games and I found Civ 4 and 3 and I want your opinion. Which of them is better? Please tell argument your opinion. Thanks.
If you love Civ 5, grab Civ 4, they're very similar IMHO.
I might do that but I was wondering what people think about Civ 3?
People universally claim that Civ 4 is better than Civ 3, and it probably is. I played quite a bit Civ3 and it was amazing, but never got into Civ4.

But it was the same. I think I preferred simple 2D graphics of Civ3 and that's because I couldn't get into Civ4.

Grab Civ4 complete if you can.

Why not give Civ 1 a go while you're at it? It's more simplistic, but it's still my favorite :)

I might get that one too but first I must find a place from where to get it :))

Civ 2 test of time is still my favourite.

Not sure if they sell it legally anywhere, but if you can't find it, I can PM you an abandonware link :P

Sure thanks.
Civ5 is a lot simpler than Civ4, even with the G&K expansion. That said, Civ5 is more... friendly to the player, while in Civ4 the player have the absolute control in almost every detail (a tad overwhelming sometimes IMHO). So, if you want a simple game of Civilization, go for 5 without G&K. If it's too simple and you want spies an religion, Civ5 + G&K. If you are a core Civ player and want the whole package (losing a bit in graphics and interface) Civ4 is your game.

Well in that case I think I should get Civ 4. Thanks for help and I will play Civ 3 after I finish 4 just to compare them.

Well, you may always download FreeCiv - open source free Civilization flick, if you don't like downloading things from gray area.

Never heard of it. I think I should try that one too.
