Lou -
Loved some of the new HOMM (battle system mixes puzzles and planning), hated the direct puzzle-style challenges. The game is certainly addictive once you get over it going so far away from the familiar...
Did you play Fighting Fantasy on the DS yet? AMAZING, fast game engine (possibly the best-looking DS game of 2009), but buggy and has an annoying exploit (you don't need to lockpick chests thanks to a bug that allows you to loot any chest multiple times).

Lou: If it wasn't for the shipping I could send you a copy - they are everywhere here.

Daedolon: I don't mind paying the extra costs, obviously. I just want a new sealed American/Canadian copy of the game.

I checked three places today with no luck. There must have been a mad rush as just a month ago I was seeing them everywhere. I have a few more places to try and I will let you know.

GeeLW: Here's some of my tiny PC games collection and some mega drive/genesis/master system games PLUS a huge stack of assorted console stuff (well, a shelf fell down, so they're piled three deep on the dresser for the moment:

i have about 2500 or so games (down from about 3500 or so) for a bunch of consoles and handhelds, but I really need to recount one day, as I've been adding and subtracting titles over time.

The PC stuff shown is about 75-80% of what I have - the rest is in a closet (it used to be twice as large, but I sold off/traded a bunch of games over time) and a few more titles are coming this week...

I'll update if folks are interested...
i have only small pc games collection

and its look like not grow anymore because of steam "age" where i got more:

http://steamcommunity.com/id/DanielMoravek/games?tab=all

but im young so plenty of time increasing numbers :D

here where i live games arent cheap (middle europe) mostly if its post-communist block so in 1998 average salary was around 350 USD (34czk=1USD in 1998) so with this it was hard collecting games not even speak about if those games are from parents.

Another issue is that games are more expensive than in US or UK (those seller b*stards) just quick example from today:

Crysis 2 NANO edition:
my country 230USD
UK 170USD

witcher2 premium:
my country 60USD
UK 37USD

Dungeon Siege 3:
my country 54 USD
UK 42 USD

same with Starcraft 2 collectors for us 175USD...

biggest joke are promos, we got promos at same level as in UK sells at normal price :D

so we got lower salaries and higher prices for games... now speak about piracy :(
complete formula for dissaster.

(today average salary in my country: 1300USD, 16.5czk=1USD )
