1. This is a random drawing for Earth 2150 trilogy.

2. To enter, tell me the most important thing everyone should know about your favorite hobby! (a hobby other than gaming)

3. Reserve the right to refuse entries if you just post something like, "I like fishing cuz it's fun..lol."

4. I'm going to require at least 10 entries before giving it away.

5. Good luck!
My other hobby (besides gaming) is watching movies. When you have a movie that you like, do not watch it repeatedly (ex. every day) or else you will tire of it. At least, that's how it is with me :)
One of my hobbies is playing the guitar. If I had to let everyone know one thing about my hobby, I'd have to go with the fact that it requires a lot more work then it seems. You have to memorize chords and scales, but once you do, it's a lot of fun.
I am very much into my movie collection. Getting it streamed throughout my house was more of a chore than it was worth so I'm now physically putting everything on the PS3 for immediate access. This is quite a chore with 300 movies and about 10 full TV series on DVD/Blu-ray. I get the flu about 4 times a year so when I'm on my back those 4 weeks its nice to not have to go hunting for cases and discs and touching them all with germie hands.

When I'm not doing that, my hobby is best understood from the pics attached. They actually tell a story if viewed in order. (Bah! it won't let me attach the last photo which is of massive drywall damage near an electrical outlet) :(

I'm just offering my hobby and not entering to play. Thanks for the contest, but I'm not much into the Earth Series, someone else would better enjoy it ;)

And this is why Dog fighting is generally an outdoor sport ;D

Not sure it can be called a hobby, but (thanks to my lovely wife) one of my biggest past-times is DIY.
The single most important thing you should know about DIY is:
GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT!!!!!
OK, failing that, Plan it thoroughly.
Check the plan & spot the obvious fatal flaw.
Plan it again.
Check it again.
Get someone else to check it.
Then do it ;-}
I recently started to be interested in archery...I suck at it, I miss my target 9 out of 10 times, but I consider it my hobby. Its great fun :) but when living in capital city (Prague) its hard to find decent spot to practice.

Another one is folding origami. I know how to fold the crane that the origami killer in Heavy Rain was leaving on his victims. I also know ho to fold a pig :) .

Holy friggin crap. Cool dogs. I hope that you're not into dog fighting. :(
I love reading books. Especially science-fiction and fantasy. Why? Because - just like playing computer games - it helps me forget all the bad stuff about the world and the problems around me for a while. I don't use it to flee from the problems just to take a break from them.

LOL, no, I never saw it from that angle. Just to clarify for PETA and all others... those 2 dogs are having the time of their lives. You just don't want to be in their way when they start to play.

They also love each other... they just like to kill each other on the side ;)

The brown one had serious separation anxiety when we brought her home from the shelter. This is the last pick in the series ;) I'll need Rodzaju's help with DiY to get it repaired.

Archery is great fun. I learned it for hunting. I never actually shot at a dear or anything though. I like to eat meat and all, but I don't actually like killing things. My family were all hunters and learning the skills for it just came natural. Anyway, I very much enjoyed shooting at targets. I live in a city now, and I don't drive, so I cant practice anymore.
The most important thing you should know:

Books make you smarter.
My number-one hobby apart from gaming is exercise, especially cardio. Yes, it is fun, for several reasons: 1. Feeling healthy is feeling good. 2. Same for feeling strong and knowing I can overcome difficulty to reach a goal. 3. Walking/running outside gives me a better feeling of awareness and closeness with the world. It's hard to describe but the neighborhood doesn't seem the same after I have been in it on foot, seen it up close, heard it, smelled it and touched it, not compared to my only experience being that of seeing it through a car window. My gaming hobby can isolate me if I let it.

Thanks for this generosity and good luck to everyone.
Need about 3 or 4 new entries and we'll be set.
I should have specified that my earlier post was not an entry. I figured you wouldn't think it was, as I was replying to someone else. Just in case you did, im letting you know its not. I don't play RTS games anymore. I would hate to take up someones spot on the list.
