It's actually the weekend today, so you know our contest weekend keeps on rolling--and the stakes are rising! If you've got the free time today, we have just the thing to keep you entertained on a cold afternoon; another contest. We will be running three more contests throughout the weekend, and a new one starts right now!

To give you guys a break from brain teasing and word jumbles, we offer you a caption contest. This weekend's special sale is on Anuman games, so take a look at the screencaps on the game pages from any of their games in our catalog and find the perfect caption. Draw on a speech bubble, or maybe make a motivational poster. Whatever you do, you'll have until 6.59 EST tomorrow (13.11.11) to come up with something witty or trenchant and send it to contest@gog.com with the subject line "GOG.com 2011 Caption Contest". We'll announce all of our contest winners on Wednesday, so keep tuned.

From all of the entries, we'll pick 3 winners and gift them 3 $5.99 or $9.99 games of their choice. The heat is on to make an impression in a good way, so warm up those pixel-slicing machines and show us what you can do.

Bonne chance, and be sure to check back tomorrow for our last two contests!
I've made a few attempts, but I'm not sure about sending any of them just yet. I'll try a few more.

TheEnigmaticT: And don't worry, tomorrow you will see both the most creative puzzle yet as well as the most difficultly brainy one yet.
Looking forward to it.
I actually enjoyed this one more, because I neither have a printer or a scanner, which was needed for the previous ones. It's just too horrible to do in paint.
How do we extract the screenshots from the site? They're all Flash-based thingies.

Or find the link in the source, then you won't need to cut it out and the quality won't suffer either.

I've spent about six hours total polishing my entry for this contest before this your clarification so I am not going to modify it any further - it is a little different from what you said but I hope it will be ok.

btw: no reply from bot.. sigh :(

I usually suck at those "be-creative-contests", but nonetheless I sent a screenshot in...

Profanity: Am I the only one having a problem with actually saving any screenshot from the game page? When I press on the thumbnail, it gets bigger, but then I am unable to "Right click>Save" or "Right Click>View Image".

You could use the free program "Snipping Tool"...works fine, I always use it for such purpose.

I dug around in the code until I found what I needed. More or less the same result as a Print Screen. (I tried it first but went back to see if I could find a better image).

Well, considering we're all geeks, digging around in codes is fun.
just sent my submission...

took me longer than I expected...

Good luck to everyone!
Mine's in... oof. Time for bed now.
I get this feeling a version of mine has been made by others. But whatever, mine is awesomely snarky.

If you are a Firefox user, you could do what I do. I have the extension "Nuke Anything Enhanced" with that installed if you right click on the image and select "Remove object about 3 times" you will be able to then right click and save image. It is very handy at removing layers put on top of images.

Failing that I guess you could go with the suggestions of others on the forums to screenshot the images instead.
I'm guessing that the crazy man from Megarace is a popular choice ;)
