F1ach: Worked on my PC but not on the kids laptops, so yeah, make sure to demo it first :)
Yep.

It won't work on either of my computers (laptop and desktop) as they both have Intel graphics. Supposedly there's a patch you can install but some people say it works and some say it didn't.

Hopefully he'll get that fixed eventually as a LOT of people are saying the game won't work on their computers.

It's totally worth it. I'm still only level 2, but I'm having a blast with it (leveling seems to happen more slowly than you'd expect from a beginning character in an MMO, and I die a lot, but I've done tons of exploring and it's truly a gorgeous game. I have a pet alpaca, which is just freakin' cool.

I hit level 2 last night, and felt far more earnt than levels in most other RPGs.

Agreed... I'm so used to RPGs (and especially MMOs) where leveling just goes by so fast that you just kind of stop getting excited about it. Reaching a level and spending skill points to learn a spell, as well as cooking up a huge batch of pineapple and pumpkin goodies, just felt really fulfilling, and it makes you feel like you've really accomplished something.
I'm currently just killing things around the one town I've discovered thus far and saving up for a hang glider.
Servers' have been up for hour straight now, longest uptime since release I think. Those who want it should try their luck now as there's no telling how long this last. Should it go down again use http://direct.cyberkitsune.net/canibuycubeworld/ to monitor the server situation and to reduce burden to servers.

I wish they'd post some official word on situation. There haven't been any singns of life for 5 days now.

amok: While Cubeworld seems very open, it is still limited by being a open character driven RPG at heart, with all the limitations it brings. I can not comment on how easy it is to mod yet, but I have seen no such things. It is therefore limited to constraints by the developers, and will at a point reach where it can not be done any more with.
While it does not prevent modding (as long as devs don't actively discourage or prevent it) current official word is that there will not be mod support.

Q: Will there be MOD support for Cube World?
A: No.

Here's a wiki source for those who like to use them.

The servers came up the day my paycheck hit the bank :D. Grabbed this, along with 999 and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Gonna be a fun week when I'm not working.
