Should I get the D & D Bundle now, or should I wait until it gets offered again? I seem to remember it being offered several times prior to now...
Buy it now ! I've heard some of the games might have licensing issues, so better pick them up now. They're a steal at this price...
As far as I know, it's never been discounted by this much before, and is unlikely to be again any time soon (I think the last two times it was on promo, it was 65% and 60%; and then there was a buy one-get one free deal, which amounts to 50%).

Good decision. 75% off is the best you'll see them at.
Is it stupid that I was more interested in this sale for Planescape Torment than for Baldur's Gate?

No.

BG is an awesome game, IMO, but PS:T is a masterpiece.
I've heard good things about both, but it seems Planescape is its own beast whereas Baldur's Gate is basically bound by "Bioware tropes"

Nope. I've heard so much about Planescape that I wanna try it sometime but won't be able to get it this go around. Baldur's Gate is great, but here, it seems Planscape Torment is the favorite.

Different games really. BG is a low-level D&D wilderness exploration, it's not meant to have a particularly deep plot or characters, it's more an adventure with D&D combat rules than anything.

PST is a tight narrative-driven (but quite linear) adventure within quite possibly the most unorthodox setting in a fantasy computer game. It has compelling writing, likable characters, nice puzzles, and some neat features which make it unique.

Weird, that's what I would have said about Icewind Dale, not BG. To this day, I still send Boo to the eyes of my enemies. In my mind, at least.

Lol, notice I said wilderness exploration, not dungeon crawler - which is what IWD is.

BG is still pretty much standard heroic fantasy, albeit with it's own unique exaggerations and quirks. That doesn't mean it's bad, for a setting like the Forgotten Realms simplicity works best, same goes for the formula for Xeen and Might & Magic, you don't ask for depth in something which shouldn't have it.
