I haven't played the BoUT, but am not very interested, the humor seems largely referential. Like pointing at something and saying: "They do that don't they? Isn't it stupid?". Like I said, haven't played it so I could be wrong but it's the impression I got.

I did play Deponia though and that one I loved, it is genuinely funny all on its own. The protagonist is such an asshole, but delightfully so and being around him was so fun as redult of that. I'm currently playing the second. Too bad you can't go to youtube to watch it because the intro to the second one was absolutely hysterical.

Unfortunately I did get stuck a few times and had to look for help. But you don't need youtube for that, gamefaqs would do just fine.
