Wraith: Also, you want a game to get mad about? Kane and Lynch. Sure, it had mixed reviews, but I actually liked it.
It was released in an incredibly broken state for PC. Online was unplayable, and the game crashed about every 5-10 minutes. It was unstable as hell.
Did we get a patch? No. IO Interactive and Eidos just sat back and did nothing, the game was never fixed for PC, and was, for me, the start of me paying more attention to console games, since they were playable and getting all the support, whereas the PC versions were neglected somewhat or, in the case of Kane and Lynch, completely.
Never had a crash in K&L... of course, I have never had crashes in any game that supposedly crashes all the time.
Dave3d: WHEN (there are no IFs) pc gaming truly dies (as it will, and soon
Uhh... no it won't. PC gaming will never die, as it is the only open platform for development by anyone who chooses to do so. We might lose more and more console ports from big publishers like Ubisoft, but with Steam reinvigorating the platform I don't even think that's true.
PC gaming will always exist and always be home to great indie titles, great small dev team titles and online titles that can only be done on an open platform. To hear a PC gamer of so long say otherwise is kind of disappointing... leave that hyperbole for the console fanboys.
