I played DX3 for like 70 hours when it came out with no issue. Suddenly today I load it up and the whole thing is a stuttery, jittery mess. What I mean by that is I walk around the game world and it's not smooth, I sort of jut forward repeatedly... like the world around me skips by. Stutter, basically.

I have looked on some forums and it ends up people had this problem from the get-go, but I never did. I tried some mentioned solutions like turning off AO and v-synch, but it did not work. If anyone else has an idea I would love to hear it. If anyone can say why it just started doing this that would be cool too.

If a patch caused this to start for anyone else let me know and I will try pirating my own fucking game so I can go back to a previous version.

Did you install anything else recently (especially on Steam) that may have installed earlier versions of programs, etc., that it depends on? For that matter, have you tried verifying the game cache/uninstalling then reinstalling, etc.?

Also if you can use DX11, have you tried both DX9 and DX11 versions? Do they both have the same problem?

They both do it. And yeah I verified cache... didn't reinstall, might try that.

I loaded it up again tonight and suddenly it was fine though. Not sure if I fixed it somehow or if it varies (some people complaining on the Steam forums said it would come and go).

I got a similar problem right from the start of the game. In the middle part, I stopped having the issue, and thought it must have been fixed in some patch. Then, towards the last few stages, it came back to haunt me again.

Just to clarify, my game freezes for a while when I sprint and bump into an object or a wall. Very weird glitch, not sure if yours is the exact same, but it does sound like it.
