I've remembered one more thing (for now) - one thing that actually dissappointed me when I first played the PC version, was the intro - on the PS2 version it was a fully rendered cgi scene that started the game off (between the director of FEMA and... damn! My brains still addled from seasonal alcho abuse!). It actually worked far better - not because of the quality of the visuals, but because of the setting - it was a dark office with a tv wall showing all the problems of the world etc.

Cool, thanks. I personally found the in-game footage mixed into the cgi not to work that well though. And I wouldn't have liked to see the DT sword in there, it was awesome to find it in-game for the first time.

By "featured" i meant exactly that - its not the complete intro and the in game footage was purely part of the advert!
I maybe should have made that clearer though.

Yeah, ignoring the cut dialogue, the PS2's "Conspiracy" intro was a massive improvement from the original PC intro. No question. The original was already bad-ass as hell, but the new one is possibly the best game intro ever made. It's certainly the most memorable, in my mind.

(Note: You may want to follow the directions given in the video description and turn on the annotations for the PS2 intro if you want to read the missing lines where they were originally spoken.)
