It will probably end up being even worse than Invisible War too

Cormoran: You never asked for it, but you get it anyways! =D
[breaks mirror]

That was actually the only reference that came to mind. Anyway, thanks a whole bunch.

Whilst I'll respect Eidos and Squeenix's decision to make the game on Ipad I have to ask why?

Why make one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2011 on multi-platforms to have it's sequel whittled down to one platform on the Iphone market? Its not like Human Revolution was financially bad. And I really don't see a stealth game where you have to have your fingers smudging the screen all over the place and getting in the way.

The funny thing is since its announcement I had the feeling it would be an Ipad game.
I don't see the point to fret about it. It is not like there haven't been GameBoy or Nokia Symbian mobile versions of known game series before. You can just choose to ignore them.

The issue lies with the teaser, getting our hopes up, then crushing them mercilessly.

But yes, ignore it is.

Edit: Did they seriously expect anyone to be happy about that?

From what I'm gathering of the comments a lot of the negative feedback is coming from them teasing a new Deus Ex game to what is primarily a PC and console gaming audience, which got them psyched for a new PC and console Deus Ex game.

Had they just come out and announced it without having a buildup of hype that audience wouldn't be feeling so let down and it wouldn't be nearly so negative.

EDIT: yeah, what P1na said. :P

Deus Ex: The Fail!

Don't own any iDevice so I'm not happy :(

Cormoran: They hyped up a bunch of PC and console gamers with the teaser and they're not too happy with the result.

VanishedOne: It doesn't help that, while plenty of people have a smartphone or tablet, quite a lot opt for Android instead of iOS, so to buy this you have (1) to want a mobile Deus Ex game, and (2) to have chosen Apple. Whoever planned this must have some interesting Venn diagrams of market demographics.
Lots of truth here. The only reason I have an iPhone right now is because my ancient Captivate (crappy phone to begin with, but still better than iphone imo) died on me. As soon as I can, I'm upgrading to Galaxy S4.

Ok, in that case yes. Luckily this is the first time I hear about DX: The Fall.

I find it kind of tasteless that MS seems to be marketing XBox console gaming in Win8, as if that's where I should be playing my non-mobile games. I guess it is a bit similar case.
Yeah, the Droid market (and even others) are really exploding right now... picking an exclusive hardware model seems silly. IMHO, we need to tune down the number of exclusives existing not add new ones.
A bit of an update; It's apparently coming to android at a later date (possible killer app for the ouya?) and it'll be $7 on the appstore.

linky
I was wondering why they announced a sequel so close to the GOTY edition and Eidos answered by spitting in my face.
well the name seems to predict the future of deus ex, it will fall and fail
