andreyllidan: Well it's so easy for you to speak huh....
Your point being?

Also no need for sarcasm dude ;) you got too much spare time i guess eh.
I have a 40-hour work week. Thanks for asking.

These issues will probably take quite a few days since it wasn't solved during the week-end (Week-end Promo ,Randalator dude, DDDUUUH? They were surely optimistic on the hardware and/or software to leave the customers who had issues, boiling :D ) and it wasn't solved untill now either & it's Tuesday. SO you might understand why in my mind i say nice stuff about your familly tree Randalator :D
As a matter of fact I don't.

I've had a problem before, when a Paypal transaction didn't finish (money transferred and confirmed, but the transfer back to gog.com didn't complete) leaving me with money payed but no game in my account. I sent support an e-mail, describing what had happened and then waited for them to get back to me. Which they did eventually, after they had verified my statements, retraced and completed the transaction.

How does being obnoxious help here?

and all the trolls wannabee.
+ No official post on why it's taking so long since there are probably multiple support tickets if it's taking so long in the first place :D
With a customer base in the tens of thousands there are always multiple support tickets. And unusual problems take more time to figure out and solve, so if you received a ticket it means support is on it and will get back to you if they need additional info or have solved the problem. Nagging doesn't help.

Always remember, there are actual people behind the support system. Throwing tantrums and getting personal is just hurtful.

There So go troll somewhere else Randalator.
I'm not trolling, I'm giving advice how to act patient and corteous. Which you are not.

Petrell: Actually, now that I think about it, shouldn't there be two messages? Purchase confirmation for the purchaser and "you have received a gift" message for the recipient. Also, as I said earlier, the gift should be in buyers gift tab under my account as well.
Not if the transaction wasn't completed for some reason (see my example above). I didn't receive an order confrmation either, because the transaction got stuck somewhere between the money transfer from Paypal to GOG and the respective confirmation in the GOG system. So obviously I didn't receive game or order confirmation because on GOG's part the order never was completed.

You are seriously underestimating size of GOG customer base. While number of accounts has been never stated, GOG receives over 2 million unique visitors each month. That's from 4-5 months ago. :-p

While I never had exactly your problem, I had problems several times with paypal (double charge, odd 1€ reservations etc.) back when it allowed me to purchase thru it (used to buy unregistered but now they demand registeration).

And to OP: if money was charged, GOG will honor the sale as soon as they can figure out where the problem is. It's entirely possible it's not in GOG's end but in company that handles the GOG's transactions that's based in britain so they may need some calls back and forth. So just be patient.
Yeap it will get fixed i hope.
