Triplepost.
On semi-similar things, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance looks so much, much amazingly better. It is less visually pretty in the stages, but it certainly makes up for BEING CONSTANT, CONSISTENT 60 fps on either console. Gameplay mechanics are more refined and flexible, weapon and character design is well thought of, and it looks astounding.
On the other hand, a lot of that has to do with the pedigree of the producers and developers, god damn PLATINUM GAMES, previously Clover, makers of God Hand, Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta, Mad World, Vanquish and Okami, and Kojima Productions makers of the Metal Gear games.
It is as much as a departure from regular Metal Gear as it can possibly be, from stealth action/third person shooter to balls to the wall crazy action, making the cutscenes of MGS4's craziest shit actually playable.

There is a goddamn cyborg boss that has a machine gun integrated in his sword's sheath. Not to shoot you with it, no, to SPEED UP THE DRAWING OF THE SWORD. Revengeance is going to be astoundingly retarded in a good way, since it is not all empty attitude, everything in it serves a gameplay function or reflects one.
Hell, it is likely that it is going to trump DmC even in the storytelling aspect, both in the serious and non-serious aspects, considering it is STILL a metal gear game. They've always had a fine balance between a story and amazing gameplay to support it, particularly since 3.
Fuck just comparing the "30 fps but feels like 60!" of DmC to 60fps footage of Revengeance is an amazing comparison. If Revengeance ends up selling less than DmC it is gonna be a goddamn travesty.
