I was talking with a someone the other day who has gone on an Alaskan cruise every year for the past 12 years. Does anyone have regular vacation spots? I like to travel but I have never gone to the same place twice (other than when I am visiting family). Do any of you regularly vacation in the same place?

My sofa and terrace are pretty comfy for most of the time :)
I live 100 yards from the largest body of freshwater on the planet.

Next question. :P

In Finland it is quite normal to go to your (or rented) summer cottage in the summer, which is supposed to be located near water (lake or sea). Especially during the midsummer festival (juhannus). I do that too.
I never go to the exact same location twice, but if I can, I go the the fjords of Norway (roughly between Stavanger and Trondheim).
My family and I never really went on long term vacations to any place that involved a hotel or a rental house. Normally we just stayed at a relative's place in central Pennsylvania or we would spend a day at a beach either in Delaware or New Jersey.

I cannot say that I really have a favorite vacation spot since my vacations often revolved around relaxing at home or at a relative's place. I will say that I always wanted to visit Alaska and would probably enjoy a trip to Ocean City, Maryland.
