Isn't spaying or neutering animals pretty common in the US? I don't know because I'm not really into pets of that nature.

Well yes. Spaying and neutering is common. But desex sounds just so wrong. Like you're removing it all.

OK, I was wondering what you were getting at. Technically, those operations do more or less desex the animal, but I can see your point.
