Okay, I do overreact sometimes... :( This probably has to do with the stunt and all... and I am feeling a lot let down because ever since the launch there have been problems and what not.

Truth be told, I really expected complete Windows 7 support. This was pretty much the reason I didn't (don't) have any GOGs installed in my lappy.

Still, I'm disappointed (and won't buy anything for at least until Christmas when they have a sale). They have a trust to earn back. I don't like being played like that, joke or not.

I feel your pain -- I own an Apple laptop. While it seems a lot of games will run well on OSX using Wine, it's still not a certainty.
I found a way to make the games with complete Windows 7 support... Is it okay if I post the installers of the free games here?

I seriously doubt it. "Free" does not equal "legal to modify and redistribute".

KavazovAngel: It adds non working icons, sometimes it adds double icons... I am a perfectionist... dammit! :D
A combination of regedit and the Vista Games Explorer Editor (which still works in WIndows 7) worked for me.

Failing that, if the game doesn't work, just run a virtual machine inside windows 7 with an old XP or 95 install.

That's why I asked. I guess you are right. :)
I just installed ceasar 3 that has w7 compatibility and it worked fine with the games explorer.

I'm pretty sure you're free to post the modifications, such as a reg file, icon and whatnot, as long as you don't actually make game data available. Make an installer for said modifications so it's easily usable by everyone, or just a zip file for those of us who prefer having control (me included, at least I like to see how things work).

Some people complain about various games getting double GE icons... Baldur's Gate is a funny change, it got no less than 3 icons when I installed it.

KavazovAngel: the game fucks up Games Explorer...

MGN001: Wait, someone actually uses Games Explorer?
Just him.

Every once in a while, I do. Then I realise that it's f'cking annoying to have the "info" frame expanding with the window, and having to manually resize the game list frame rather than the other way around.

Games Explorer what?

KingofGnG: Games Explorer what?
Enough said.

You can say many things about Steam, but it's definitely better at organising games than Games Explorer.

This.

The first thing I've grown to hate and decided to not use of Win7, is the Games Explorer.
