whenever i try to log in in GOGdownloader it ALWAYS says my password is wrong
is anyone else having this?

Do you have the latest downloader build?
There was an issue with passwords that had special characters in them, but it was supposed to be solved in the latest file.

Downloaded just fine for me yesterday using the new downloader...

I had that same problem. There are certain characters that it doesn't seem to handle well in passwords (this has been fixed to a large degree in the latest version, but it still doesn't seem to like the > character, and probably others).

I recommend changing your password to letters and numbers for the time being until a new version comes out that solves the password issue.
