Witcher 2 downloaded to 14.99gb and has STALLED. How do I get it to finish? I don't want to restart the entire download, wasting bandwidth when it may only stall again at this point.
got enough free space left?

Try exiting the Downloader (not only minimize) and then starting it up again. Since it doesn't delete what it has already downloaded, you'll just need to finish the last bit and wait for it too merge the files. This is a known bug and it currently being fixed by the guys at HQ.
have closed (not minimized) and reopened, also restarted pc. tried pausing and unpausing. no dice.
Maybe the problem is at the other end? GoG's servers might have some technical difficulty?
That seems unlikely. Mayhaps you could delete one of the chunks from the temporary folder and see if that jumpstarts things.

EDIT: This should have been a reply; server problems are what seems unlikely, not your problem, OP.

I had that too. What I did was stop the download, add something else to the downloader, move the new thing to the top of the downloader (I used Total Annihilation Extras package, but anything should do, you can drag and drop it to the top to give it download priority) and let the new thing finish downloading. After that, my The Witcher 2 download resumed like it hadn't had any problems at all.

I think those were the important steps. I did try all kinds of things before, like removing it from the downloader and re-adding it (doesn't delete your progress, btw) multiple times, and restarting the downloader and rebooting. That adding other stuff, moving it to the top and letting it finish was the thing that finally worked.

/edit: Some of the free games are really small. You could try it with one of those.

nothing suggested here worked :(

ended up trying removing the game from the gog downloader list, setup files were still on hdd, then re-initiated download from gog site. hoped it would recognize data still existed but it's just redownloading everything... hopefully it makes it all the way this time, bandwidth is almost capped.

at least it's near the end of the month.
