Timed demo beats no demo. And no demo is getting far too popular these days...

As for beta testing, there are two possible purposes I can think of.

1) To test the game and tweak/polish it before release. The testing the developer should be able to figure out on their own I agree. The tweaking and polishing as a player I wouldn't mind having some input in. What game has ever been released that you wouldn't change at least one tiny thing if you could?
2) To promote the game. In this case, why not sample the latest greatest thing a few months early?

Oh, and no, I don't want the beta key.

I thought all you need to do is to sign up on their website? At least that's what I did and could play right away. Maybe they've changed things.

But I'd like those Sanctum DLC codes if you've got no use for them :) Some of us prefer to see the game before spending any money on it, but it's a personal choice.

I'll message you on steam when i get home regarding the sanctum DLC :)

Let me put it this way: a Diablo-clone in a free-to-play (i.e. pay or your chars suck) model with the name Drakensang slapped on it - who needs that?

... and yes, I own and loved every Drakensang game before that. This however, has nothing to do with it anymore.
