DriveThruRPG, DriveThruComics and DriveThruFiction are having a summer sale as well. A lot of their eBooks are 25% off, and if they have print-on-demand books that come with the eBooks, those are discounted too. Note that the discounts are based off according to the included eBooks, not the PoD copies.

They have an excellent selection of products, at least for DriveThruRPG - nothing from Fiction and Comics interests me. I'm also plugging for them because their customer support is ace (they discounted $5 off my purchase when I kept running into problems trying to buy VtM V20). Check out their catalogue to see if anything interests you.

DriveThruRPG
DriveThruFiction
DriveThruComics

Stuff I'm gonna pick up i.e., already in my wishlist:
- Modern Floorplans (because I'm too lazy to draw my own maps)
- Game Masters Collection ($6 is reasonable. The ambient sounds are good)
- Savage World of Solomon Kane

Unfortunately, the Dresden Files RPGs aren't on sale. Sad :(

I think I'll take a look at what they offer now. Persuading (read: forcing) my group into trying something now, however, will be a hard task.
Just found this. Looks interesting:

The papercrafts look sexy as hell.
Bros, if any of you have even the slightest of an interest in RPGs, and you are a fan of Leverage/Hustle, do yourself a favour and pick this up:

I'm looking through it right now. The ruleset is really simple, but I can see a lot of possibilities with the Cortex system. It even comes with pre-made characters (from the Leverage crew and the villains from the show like cha0s and Sterling). You'll need a set of d4-d12s minimally to play.

In fact, I'm thinking of going through the whole book tonight, then start a PBF session. The rules are easy to memorize, but the Cortex system opens up a lot of nice possibilities for strategizing and choices and consequences.

What is PBF?

MrWilli: What is PBF?
Play by Forum, sometimes also called Play by Post (PbP). There are a few variants here, like the Forum Mafia.

I'm still reading through the book, but I'm excited by the prospect of how easy it is to run a PbF, even on an imageless forum like GOG. It'll be cool to run a fictional heist on Activision or Microsoft :X

yummi... just got the whole pack of 4 downloads. Let's see if it plays as nicely as it looks :)
I really wish that I had people to play pen and paper RPGs with. Sadly for me when buying anything to do with them, I might as well be lighting money on fire.

This. >.>
Ah, thanks.

Another chance to buy RPG systems I'll never find the time or opportunity to play.

Have you checked the net for groups looking for new players? Most of my friends don't play RPGs, so I have to look for pre-existing groups in order to get my fix.

There are a few places that you can advertise on if you're looking for a gaming group, like RPGnet's forum and meetup.com. Still, I know what you mean. It's tough to get a gaming group going. I'm lucky because I have relatives who are game enough to try new things, no matter how dorky.

You can try to find an online group. Hell, there were even some attempts on these very forums. Depending on what will beplayed, I may or may not join.
Thanks for the advice, might try some of those, I've had bad luck with online though but I guess trying again can't hurt.
There are actually some simpler rulesets on DriveThruRPG. The Cortex-based books are an example, and I also just found out about this, though I personally wouldn't pay $8 for it. I actually suggested SW first, but that may be rather hard to run on this forum, come to think about it, what with the lack of good text formatting tools.
