Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

RS1978: I was hoping for DDC too, but I'm afraid the 2013 game will be Spelunky. :(
avatar
donsanderson: They might surprise us again, the original Spelunky was released in 2008.
They seem to be taking liberties with release dates. ;-)
Sounds reasonable. Let's hope so. :)

GabiMoro: If you open the hero inventory or the town screen it's done instantly (like in Heroes 2 or 3) or do you have a delay? (almost a second or worst). I can't stand that.
I have an I5 2500K and Radeon 6950.
avatar
Vitek: Hm, not really. There is something but it is hardly noticeable unless I was looking for it. Half second max. And I have very similar specs to you. (Radeon 6850 + AMD Phenom II 955)

But maybe it is just that I have bigger tolerance level than you and it just seems longer to you. I find it better than in Heroes II which I am just playing. :-)
Thank you Vitek. I guess I have a low tolerance for these things. I like to quickly check my towns and heroes. Half a second is just too much for me :)

I am hoping so too. : )

Davane: Thanks. I see that I haven't missed anything important then. I still own every game in this sale so far!
Wow, really that is quite impressive and kinda unfortunate as there still hasn't been a game for you. Hopefully you'll get something when the Time Machine goes Back to the Future. ;)

V_Racer: Remind me, did any good game came up in 2006?

I'd laugh like mad if this'll be representing the year - http://www.gog.com/game/sensible_soccer_2006

Ghorpm: Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
Oh, Dreamfall will not come this time...well I like sam & max too... :(
avatar
GabiMoro: #1. Heroes 3
#2. Heroes 2 (very close to Heroes 3 and one of the best games ever made).
#3. Heroes 5 (not bad but I had an annoying lag when I open Hero inventory or Town screen, I also had a crappy pc)
avatar
jamotide: I only tried Heroes 5 for 10 minutes, then the hero attack animation cam annoyed me too much. Can these be turned off now?
I think the hero attack animation can be turned off but I'm not sure, sorry.

You have to take micro naps of half hours to avoid missing out on a game in this promo unless its Deus Ex MaKeanea which afforded everyone the average sleep time an adult requires. ;)

Well, the odds are in my favour. I have 520 games so far, and I think I have actually completed about 10. I am waiting to see if the advertised Unepic comes up for sale. People are saying it would be the 2011 title, so not long now I think...

Say, do you have them all backed-up on an HDD? :D
Jack & Keane: Save the World :)
