Just finished Dungeon Siege 3 and am very disappointed. Although it's a decent game, it's not Dungeon Siege. It's more like a bad "Untold Legends" clone. Sad to say but seems the Dungeon Siege series has been de-evolving the whole time. You had crazy options and customization in DS1, A bit less in DS2 and in DS3 you don't really have any at all. So... I would like to see DS1 available here for us pre-wow gamers that remember what RPGs are supposed to be like.

I wanted to add... could we get X-Com games also? Thanks ^_^

I miss the multiplayer in DS1. I don't play the game anymore since it has been down.
Dungeon Siege was fun, and it had a lot of mods too I recall.

I enjoyed the first 2 Dungeon SIeges but the total lack of customization in DS3 along with not particularly great WOM means I will give this one a pass.
Meanwhile, Blizzard in going in the opposite direction, with Diablo 3 being much more customizable then the first 2. (for one thing, the various classes are now gender neutral..any class can be either male or female in Diablo 3).

You will find them on Gamersgate. 5.95 USD apiece, 14.95 USD for the 5 games of the franchise

Also, didn't buy DS3. I quite liked DS1 but did not find DS2 that fun. So, that did not motivateme to buy the third opus, certainly not at full price that is

You can get the complete bundle from D2D for $3.34

I enjoyed both DS 1 and 2 and played the Demo of 3. Taken not as a DS Game and played with a console controller 3 is an ok game. However the Demo is all I will play as I will not pay to rent a game from Steam.

Very true. In particular, the Ultima V Lazarus mod for Dungeon Siege 1 was awesome.
Sorry you don't care for part 3. 1 surely has some major hype to live up to, I may buy it off ebay or amazon for 10 bucks to see what all the fuss is about.

I don't see how the series could be devolving given how simplistic DS1 was. I was actually relieved that DS3 was supposed to be radically different in nature, but unfortunately among these radical differences were truly amazingly awful controls.
DS3 was better then Dragon Age 2 IMO.... it never tried to be something more than it was.... i came in expecting a consolified RPG and thats what i got.

DA2 was a major dissapointment.... atleast DS3 looked ran and felt better in the hand.

as for it being dumber its due to the console.... they cant handle to much on there 8 button controllers and thumb sticks... wait till Diablo 3 hits the console... cant wait for that rant :P

Agreed, X-COM games please!
I never liked the actual DS1 game. I bought it just for the Ultima mods.

I always liked siegelets from Psychogun2003 such as Reign of Chaos, Mystery of the Abyss, Training of the Hero, The Kingdom of Asgard, and Search for the Past. They were enjoyable, not as herded as Lands of Hyperborea and Mageworld.
DS3 was the equivilant of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (so take from that what you will), although I will admit play it through in co-op and it's enjoyable. Plus since the patch came out for custom key bindings its become alot easier to play on the pc.
