Is this ambitious, or what?

EvE is simply the single greatest MMORPG that ever existed... making WoW look like PlaySkool's My First MMO.

Now they want to link EvE to Dust 514 - a PS3 Exclusive Persistent shooter where players are mercenaries who can be hired by Pilots in EvE to carry out planetary invasions. Meaning that Dust will be the first ever console title, an MMO no less, that will share a universe and economy with a PC based MMO... although Dust players will be involved in a very different type of gameplay than the EvE players.

I really don't know what I think about this. Is it brilliant? Is it insane? Is it exactly the upgrade that console gaming needs? Will it dumb down EvE?

Seriously, I am without any cogent opinion. I'm gonna have to think about this.

Having actually played EVE Online, and liking it quite a bit, I think it'll be good for the universe. Those who want more direct control on what's going on with the planets and not just the ships and space. Less responsibilities to worry about, no having to worry about picking the right corp, that sort've thing.

Nice. I like. Seems there are still some creative minds in the industry. Gives me hope for the future.

I am so hyped for this and I don't play EVE at all.

DUST seems to be a ludicrous idea, and I want it to succeed. It's so ambitious!
