lukaszthegreat: oh.

that's quite deranged way of thinking. +1 respect
There's a Hammer horror film in there somewhere.

It's the kind of thinking that the Facebook business model inspires in me.

Christopher Lee still kicks as much arse as he ever did. This film needs to be made.

Navagon: Yeah Facebook might go the same way that Myspace is going right now (yes it still exists). But still, myspace looks like it will last almost a decade and Facebook has more going for it. But given that the face of technology is ever changing it would be easy for Facebook to be rendered utterly obsolete by the next big thing in ways it didn't quite manage to do to Myspace itself.
Here is something I just read that is related to what you just said... if you are interested.

I seem to remember reading a while back about a girl in Sheffield who had a kid at 11.
what

the

F**k?!?!?!?!?!?
my neighbours are in the news again :)
so she's 12 which means she must have gotten pregnant around 11

i'm a father of a 2year old so i'll guess i need to keep an eye open in a few years ;)
I remember at my high school a girl got pregnant at 13.

The father was a lad in the year group below, so he must have been 12....

And this was 27 years ago. teenage pregnancy has always been around....

lukaszthegreat: English will most likely continue to grow in popularity therefore most likely the girl will be bi-lingual. Both fluent in egyptian and english

Neither word for face and word for book are going to change their meaning in 10 years.

As a commercial company Facebook might not exist in few years either being replaced by something else or evolving into something different maybe with different name. Even if it prevails and becomes part of everyday life of every citizen on planet.

still

Book to the face joke will really hurt that kid.
You're right. When she gets a little older she will probably take the first opportunity to have her name changed to something more socially acceptible, like Diaspora. That's a pretty name for a girl.

No it hasn't.

When I was a teen, my parents assured me over and over that in their day these kinds of things never happened.

Are you calling them liars?

:-)

Well, I'm 40, and my mums 57.......

go figure...;o))
hehe
my older sis was born when my parents were 17....
The rags here have a field day on any under-age pregnancy. Lots of "moral outrage!" and little in the way of respecting the privacy of those involved.

The education system has definitely been gutted over the last decade or so, even as far back as the late 80s when my year had the sex ed class - it was pathetically inadequate. Barely covered the mechanics, let alone risks. Instead of being aimed at 15-16 year olds, it seemed more like they were trying to talk to 5 year olds :\

Reads like a total self destruction through lack of vision. I never really took much of an interest in Digg and reading that it's not hard to see why it flew under the radar.
