So, the first paid expansion for Endless Space was released, going by the name of Disharmony
Main features are:
- Revamped space combat (with bombers, fighters and a bit more control).
- Improved AI
- Sort of land battles (just not really)
And a new race which seems to play quite a bit differently from the other ones.

I for one am really excited and will buy it. I'm just a bit sad that I'm so bad at the game. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy the hell out of it.

This looks awesome.

I have Endless Space in my wishlist. Not sure if I should get it since I already have - and don't play - Sins of a Solar Empire... I kinda wanted to turtle a little more than that game would allow me, once I spread out I got crushed.

Is it much different?

Endless space & expansion are on sale on steam ATM- $17.50 each if you buy them together. Separate it's $19.50 because the add-on is not discounted. They are very much different. Think of Endless Space as something like MOO where you gotta research the ability to colonize other planets along with everything else.

I played it when it was on freeplay weekend and if I recall right, ES is a turn based game with cards for combat while SoSE is an RTS.
If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone can correct but from what I remember, that was the main difference.
