It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

When trying to reinstall games that have been previously installed and removed, I get an error:

Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted.
Error 5: Access is denied.

Any thoughts?

Are you running the installer with administrator privileges? (Right click -> Run as administrator)

If you are and it still doesn't work, try temporarily disabling your antivirus before running setup (as admin). If that fails, reboot and try again.

I think it has something to do with your AV. Try disabling it or add installation file to his exception list.

Yeah, if I get access denied info, it usually means my antivirus doesn't like that particular file.

Read this article and I would recommend also the linked article to get a utility from Microsoft that may fix this issue for you.

If you have made any significant changes to your system recently, such as installing a new AV or AV update, some new utility software of some kind, etc. you may also want to run System Restore and revert the operating system to a previous state.

This is an operating system error but it can have many causes from what i just read after a little quality time spent with Google.

Remember, run this as recommended in the support article and then try again:

I hope that helps you out.
I also get this error when I try to install Alan Wake but it is my first install.
I have UAC turned off, tried it with anti-virus and firewall disabled, tried running as admin but nothing helps.
