I just finished Eschalon Book II.

I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed Book I a lot as well.

In Book 1 I was a melee character (with a bit of healing skills) and in Book II I was a magic user. I found both enjoyable.

Sure it was a little generic and the story line so far isn't all that unusual, I liked the quests, I liked the story, the music was good, I enjoyed levelling up, etc, etc.

Kinda wish this was on gog.

Thoughts?
I loved both games and am really looking forward to the third one. And yes, these games should be on GOG. They'd be a perfect fit.

Yeah you definitely came across a gem among games. I find that while I like Avadon moreso than the eschalon series because the story is better, The eschalon games are better games overall. I think the stat system in Eschalon is excellent as it offers full freedom. Book 3 is out this summer!

As for these games coming to gog, give it time. The developer and I spoke and he wants them to go on there but wants them to make the first move. Talk to the developer if you have the chance as I did, he appreciates when new people hear about his games. Im thinking of talking to gog directly to get to the bottom of it.
I finished the first , played a bit of the second. I really liked them and I curious of how the third will turn up. The games would fit here on GOG but tbh I don't care that much. I don't plan on buying them again.
Read a couple of reviews which praised them and I'll definately get them from what I have read here, thanks for the heads up :)
Great (oldschool ;) ) stuff. Liked them very much (much more than Avadon, eg). Cannot wait till part three finished the trilogy.
