I read that the latest SCUMM WIP can run EOB, so it would be a nice moment for GOG to get redistribution rights. Now, if there was an equivalent modern engine that could run the gold box games (and similar, like the buck rogers ones) _-_

WOW where did this come from - the site I posted is the best in my opinion and when GOG releases a title they remove it from download and link to the GOG Catalog Page - So they get it. Replayed them a while back as Legend of Grimrock put me in the mood for some nostalgic dungeon crawling. Hope GOG gets them soon - looks like Bard's Tale is coming soon.
