I just finished playing through the first two fears, including the expansions. I hell of enjoyed them.

Is F3ar worth it to buy? Because the PC versions looks like a shitty console port 8/
It's a console port. It has little feeling of the first two FEAR games.

It's still tons of fun, for some reason, after you get into it. It uses a persistent advancement system, as you gain points you level up and get perks. Anyway, it only really starts getting fun after you leveled up a bit and can use slo-mo more regularly, for longer, and can take more hits. Until you get to that point, it plays like a bad cover shooter with no environmental awareness while in cover. After you get the levels, it's non-stop action.

And Fettel's an absolute blast to play as, especially in co-op.

But it looks barely short. Well, the fear games are all short, so I don't want to risk a short cut out. No more DNF.
Yeah, it's pretty short. Did a co-op run in a single sitting one Friday with a friend. And it has the worst writing I've ever seen in a video game. I wish that was hyperbole.

But it was worth it for me for the three playthroughs (Point Man, Co-Op as Fettel, single player as Fettel).

Eh, I will pass then. If it is that short (and the writing got even worse), it's better to wait for half the price then.
I played fear 1 (loved it) and played 2, that i never finished. Seems that game is something less, than fear fans hoped for.

Edit: fear? I say Slient hill. ^^

Edit2: also well written.

What Silent Hill? You mean Amnesia The Dark Descent, right?

That game took my crap of my pants and then those fecies flied in my face. that game was really pretty good for making atmosphere.

Edit: It was horrible. That game relly sayd "stop, you don't have the mental power." And I usually had.
It was horrible. For a PC-game.
Still.. I liked SH. Even that Hil 4 wasn't bad. I have played those all.. Homecoming.. Not.

It's a solid rental, I'd say. Not scary in the least, but, then again, neither were F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. 2, in my opinion. Action is ok, it controls reasonably well. It's an adequate shooter, nothing more.
