It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

People asking for these things should really also answer another question: what advantage would sigs and profiles add and at what cost? If you ask me, the advantage is basically null and the cost is more clutter.
Sigs are the spam on personal level, so NO.
A profile page, on the other hand, makes sense - complete with a wishlist, list of owned games, reviews posted and ratings given... most of these, of course, optional.
The cost to building a profile system is not just clutter, someone is going to have to put it together.

I'm not saying I'm 100% opposed to profiles with public wishlists, GOGMixes or other things relevant to GOG. But just realise that code doesn't magically appear out of thin air, somebody that could have spent their time doing something else is spending their time building something that I don't think is all that necessary.

Even so I'd be OK with it if it was off by default and you could enable it in options at which point your name in the forums would turn from plain text into a link to your profile. And again - for all that is sacred and good in the world _DON'T_ enable signatures in the forums and thus destroy the quality and readability of them.

superfly2000: I don't know why people always have to be negative about things that will not effect them at all.

Just having your username clickable in the boards....and reaching some kind of profile page do not effect people who do not click there.

I guess it is just the usual forum thing...that people who agree don't care to post...and the only people that post are the ones that have something negative to say....
Actually, that's really not it. You will find that the average member here is not your common internet user; they don't like a lot of what the internet has become and GOG has been a haven for what they do like. Basically what I'm saying is, there are a lot of old farts here who don't care about signatures, profiles, social networking, etc. None of that is what makes this site great and none of that is necessary to add to the site to make it better. A simple basic functional design has served GOG well so far and they don't need to fix what ain't broken.

But attracting new users means younger folk will come who might like said features. :\

You point being? I mean, just because some new people might like said features doesn't mean they are needed in any way or will be wanted by the majority of GOG users, even the younger ones. As has already been stated, things like signatures serve no purpose whatsoever, except to clutter up the forums with unnecessary garbage. Does anyone ever actually read signatures on the sites that do have them? Maybe once, the first time they see them, but after that they are simply something that gets in the way of the actual reason we are here at the forums, the discussion. If you really must express something unique about yourself on the forums with every post you make, then come up with something that fits into the 16 character limit on your forum title, at least they don't get in the way of the actual discussion around here.

That being said, I think having the option to share a public profile might be nice, as long as it is an "opt in" feature. Just about the only thing I don't like about the new PM system is that they made it the default with an option to opt out. Stuff like that has always struck me as little underhanded (for want of a better term).
I think the only feature we really need is a MARK ALL READ BUTTON. Thanks you for letting me get that off my chest.

I was actually talking about profiles mainly, not signatures. :\

Quick Question - How do I disable the old GOGPM as the link is over the New PM Link and not allowing me to use the new system - Help!
