It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

If I wanted Google chrome I would have had that!

Grrrr..

What do others think. I have more views, but they're not allowed for Aussies.

Erm... I don't understand your post, but never mind.

It's about bl**dy time that the thing comes out, it's been in beta since July 2010. Beta, of course, being "fully functional but testing for bugs". Testing shouldn't take 8 and a half months.

I just hate the UI, They've got ridden of menus. I like menus, I know where things are. I hate this minimalist stuff.

Right click on whitespace near the top of the window, say, next to your tabs. Click "Menu Bar". Problem solved.

Firefox's slogan (or rather one of their slogans) is "One size doesn't fit all", just enable it, it takes two clicks.

I personally love how little space is used by the browser, now that the orange buttony thing and close button are on the same row as the tabs.

Much better thanks. Though esoteric.

I like the minimalist stuff, but that's why I have Chrome. Seems like they're really trying to follow in those footsteps.

Aye, it is a bit esoteric. I think that putting the actual website at the forefront of the browser is a good idea in principle, but potentially alienating a userbase of tens of millions by implementing such fundamental changes is a terrible, terrible idea.

Yes, it's interesting to see how the browsers have changed. Chrome did it, then 6 months later the FF4 beta did it, then 6 months later the IE9 RC did it. Chrome is arguably the most innovative browser there is on the market.

But which is the out and out best? Personally, I think IE9 is having a detrimental effect on my youtube experience but maybe the fault lies somewhere else... My friend said that Firefox's beta was quicker/smoother but I don't really know how much of a bearing a browser would have on such things.

Installed Firefox 4, and as soon as I navigated away from the welcome page, it began to chug. Closed it immediately and opened Chrome. I'm not going back.

I'd say FF4's the best. It does the whole "minimalism" thing better than Chrome and IE9, it's open source unlike IE9, it's got a ton of awesome add-ons that I can't live without, it has better HTML5 support than IE9.

Between Chrome and FF, it's mostly personal preference (IE9's still a way behind), but I'd say Firefox edges it.
I don't dislike it. It's a lot more convenient than Chrome and supports the plug ins that Chrome doesn't have (last I checked). I'll keep Chrome but not as a primary browser.
It's just as top-heavy and cumbersome as Firefox 3.

Yes, of course it is, apart from the massively streamlined interface, faster startup time, and 4x speedup in Javascript performance...
I didn't like the tabs at the top, but that's because I like to keep my music player in that space.

It was pretty easy to fix, though. Besides, with the tabs at the bottom, most of the toolbars gets transparent, so it's also more beaultiful.

EDIT: Oh, and I prefer my refresh and stop buttons separated. Also easy to fix, though not very obvious.

Uh-hu.
