Thanks for the soundtracks Foxhack. Why doesn't GOG include the Arcanum soundtrack in the extras if it is free and legally available for download?

Cambrey: Thanks to Iowyhong : Perpetuum.
It's already on the list. :)

Sabin_Stargem: The La-Mulana soundtrack, for the PC-MSXed version. Head on over to White Kneel's site, and then go for the soundtrack section. I also really recommend playing the actual game if you enjoy metroidvania style games and the Zelda series. :)

I was hesitant to include this download, but after some digging I found out that it's basically a mirror of what the dev team had uploaded to their site before shutting it down, so it goes in. I'll add it soon.

Also, your post made me dig around and I found out that the devs put up three free albums at http://nigoro.bandcamp.com/ containing the soundtracks to nine of their Flash games! That's awesome!

It might be a rights issue, but who really knows?

I will update the list as soon as I can. Sorry for not noticing the other links above. ^^;

Cambrey: PonyKart.
WHY DOES THIS EVEN EXIST

Has anyone here heard of this website? It seems amazing and legitimate, but I want to be sure before I use it too much. http://gamethemesongs.com/

TCMU2009: Has anyone here heard of this website?
It's FAR from legitimate. It's a bunch of song rips and some seem to be from actual CDs, so I don't feel comfortable listing it here.
On the La-Mulana soundtrack, it is important to note that there are going to be two versions of the game. Currently there is the freeware version that is done in the MSX style, and there is an upcoming remake of the game which has an altered soundtrack and is commercial in nature, much like with Cave Story+. This difference should be part of the soundtrack description, so if people enjoy the original soundtrack, they would consider picking up the remake's. Here's a pair of youtube links, for comparison purposes.

Mr. Explorer - Original Arranged Soundtrack (Youtube video)

Mr. Explorer - Remake (Youtube video)

To be honest though, when I listen and compare the two soundtracks, it feels as if the original had more oomph and character than the remake's. Is it just me?
Okay. La-Mulana, ... Ponykart (goddamnit), Shade: Wrath of Angels and NIGORO Flash Games Volumes 1 through 3 have been added.

The original Shade: Wrath of Angels download link doesn't work anymore (the FTP times out, I guess the publisher just said "fuck it" and shut off their FTP.) I managed to find several mirrors, but I stuck to the most legal one: Gamespot.

I didn't add the Mighty Switch Force OST, but will do so in the near future.

I gotta figure out how to make the list easier to navigate...

Sabin_Stratagem:
My guess is, since the original devs have little to do with this "Arranged" soundtrack, that's why it doesn't have the same character. Remember... Nicalis is doing this. Not Nigoro.

The Tiny Bang Story.
LightFish.
Cambrey's suggestions have been added, and a bump.

Gyrocoptor: Mighty Switch Force. Game's fantastic, too, if you have a 3DS.
+1!!
It's PWYW, and you can set the amount to $0.

Edit:
Also by Jake Kaufman:
Bloodrayne Betrayal OST and Mighty Milky Way / Might Flip Champs OST are also $0 minimum at bandcamp.

Shantae: Risky's Revenge OST is also available for free.

All of those have been added.

I also have a request for people. Does anyone here have an account at Bohemia Interactive's forums? I'm trying to get some information about their composer, Jaroslav Kasny, for the site where I'm hosting the album list.

They don't believe that he's from Poland, they want more info. I don't feel like making an account there... it'd feel a bit too stalkerish. So if anyone with an account could help me out by asking a few questions there, I'd appreciate it.
Ok, I don't know what to think about this. Dear Esther is free to download via the official site (download menu), but they also release the soundtracks on iTunes, 7Digital etc...

Quote from the front page :

We’re really happy to announce that the official game soundtrack by Jessica Curry will be available from all the usual places (iTunes, 7Digital, etc) shortly after the game launches. We’ll update as soon as it’s officially out – in the meantime, you can listen to excerpts here!

I just grabbed the original soundtrack from ModDB.

The official soundtrack has 17 tracks. The original one from 2008 only has 7, in MPEG4 audio format.

So it's all good.
a) This is awesome.
b) Alas, you seem to be missing the great Grim Fandango score: removed

A) Thanks, but I couldn't have done this without the forum itself.
B) That link ... isn't really legal, man. All the music here has been legally released, but that music is from a retail album.
