Anyone knows where i can buy freelancer (the old 2004 space sim)

I found mine while shopping for books online. It was the jewel case version, and sold for ~$10USD. That's your best option.

I remember there were problems running on some systems. Is there a patch or something that makes it run ok on newer systems?

I have somebody going to US in a couple of weeks so I think about ordering it if it runs ok.

There's a 1.08 or 1.8 fan patch that fixes some stuff on newer OSs for Freelancer.

Had a BSOD on Freelancer (german version) when entering the first gate. Uninstalled it afterwards. (Glad I finished it on Windows 98 back then)
Is that also fixed?

It should be.......it also fixes UI problems on higher reosultions and the like.

Freelancer was basically my summer in 2003. What I'd give to be able to log 60+ hours on a game these days, responsibility and employment are vastly overrated.

Get King's Bounty: The Legend. For 10 days I averaged more time on it than on my full time day job, and that's without any days off or holidays!

It's pretty cheap and easy to find on eBay. Freelancer isn't terribly scarce or hard to get working in the great scheme of things.

I own the retail and gog version, and a Thai copy of Armored Princess I bought before they released it stateside. Both are well worth the money.
