Realms of the Haunting, Guilty Gear and more classics from Funbox available again at your favourite digital download service!

Guilty Gear X2 Reload and Realms of the Haunting will relive their youth once again. With the announcement we're releasing Realms of the Haunting, while Guilty Gear X2 Reload and other titles will become available in the near future.
Ok, so Zushi Games had rights to Midway Arcade Treasures, and there were some nice oldies there (Mortal Kombat!) and they did Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown, which was the remake of Defender of the Crown (I want the original version!)

That doesn't mean we'll get those for sure.

Oh, and Joust and Paperboy :)

I've been sick and I'm a little out of it. I did a double-take when I read that and was pretty sure I wasn't conscious. Holy crap, I didn't even know there was a PC version of Guilty Gear, never really looked into it I suppose. I've already got Guilty Gear X and X2 on PS2, sadly I haven't had a chance to get Accent Core Plus, but damn, this is impressive.

Haven't had a PC fighting game fix since Street Fighter IV. Thanks, GOG! :D

GameRager: And then there's Bridget......I wonder how many here remember that mentally scarring "lady".
I like traps. :3
It doesn't look like there's any info on the older IPs they've bought so there's no way of knowing what we can expect them to release in future (assuming this isn't it).

But hey, who cares? We've now got Realms of the Haunting on GOG!
Guilty Gear? AWESOME.

GameRager: I'm guessing they have the old Zushi IPs...
Possibly. But then I thought that Atari would have the rights to Realms of the Haunting because GT Interactive published it and Infogrammes (Atari) bought them and turned them into Infogrammes UK.

It doesn't always work like that. IP can get scattered everywhere when companies get bought and sold. Sometimes they don't know what they've got.

GameRager: Just like Fred from Scooby Doo, right?
This picture, especially taken out of context, immediately comes to mind.

GameRager: I'm guessing that Zushi either retained it from GT Interactive or somehow Zushi/Funbox got it back.
Given that they're on GOG and like the $6 price point I guess we can only hope they've got them all.

But note that even that list doesn't mention RotH. There could be more besides.
It took two years of nagging, but damn here it is.

Ok, time to get to work requesting Time Commando....

lackoo1111: Is this the new big publisher ?
No, actually, we'll be announcing another publisher in a few weeks. The classic games that they've been testing in the QA lab have me all misty-eyed with nostalgia.

...the misty eyed part could be from pollen, though. Spring is starting here in Warsaw!
RotH!? You're effin' kidding me! You did it!;)
[/me rolls up his sleeves and looks for work]
Jesus Christ, what the hell?

GUILTY GEAR?!
Bleh, I only just bought this on ebay two days ago...
Searching the web I've found indications that Ian Stewart, one of the founders of Gremlin Interactive and apparantly behind Funbox, too, bought back his company and/or the rights of (some?) of its games from Infogrames/Atari in 2003. So Funbox *might* own the IP rights to more Gremlin Interactive games ...
Guilty Gear X2 Reload

this is one game i will pass
