if i just burn my fallout folder to a disk, will i be able to play it on a different computer, with all of my saves and preferences intact, or should i just burn my save files and re-download it?
i'd rather not have to re-download because i'm spending the night at my mother's and she has the absolute worst internet connection, the last time i was there it took almost an hour to download itunes... so yeah how should i go about this? thanks

I'm pretty sure you can, though I can't say for sure for the GOG version. You WILL have to copy from the disk to a local disk, though. And preferably it should be copied to the SAME directory, so if you are a currently playing from say, C:\Fallout, copy it to C:\Fallout in the other computer.

Why not take the GOG installer in the disk? you can just carry the Installer + savegame folder, install the game wherever you want and then copy the savegame folder to the new Fallout directory.
