It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

If either one of these goes out of business, will you not be able to download a game if you already bought it? Thanks. I just don't want to get hosed on my purchases. I heard Atari is selling off its assets to other game devs or pubs, and I don't want lose access to Outcast and I haven't downloaded it yet.

I don't think GOG has ever removed a game from someone's shelf because of the contract with the owners expiring for any reason.
All games you buy remain on your shelf even if it gets taken out of the catalogue. I still have XIII on my account, even tho it's not on sale any longer on GOG.
As a general rule? No certainly not. But I seem to remember an exception. But in any case it is an exceedingly rare thing. I brought the matter up in this thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/desperados_scored_by_nordic_games

I am sure GOG in any case will do whatever they can do to prevent such a thing from ever happening.
It's not entirely impossible, reinforced by the warnings they gave to download your stuff in the past in similar situations, just to be safe. But realistically it's extremely unlikely.
So far the practice has been that a game is pulled off the catalogue but left on user's shelf of purchased games. If you purchased the game before rights are sold to a new uncooperative owner, you will be able to download it and still own it.

EDIT: I would recommend you to download the game. Better safe than sorry.

If you have already bought the game it won't disappear off your shelf. I bought XIII also and it's still on my shelf.

After hearing this news a couple weeks ago I did go ahead and buy Blood as I wanted it at some point and didn't want to take a chance on it going to a publisher that wasn't GOG friendly. That should also go for anyone wanting RollerCoaster Tycoon since it's on special right now.
Thanks to all who commented. I own XII also.
