As a companion piece to the Disappointing gaming purchases thread, we have this thread! What games did you buy this year that you really, really enjoyed?

For me it was Wolfenstein 2009, Duke Nukem Forever, Crusader Kings 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Fallout: New Vegas.

Edit: And Rage! I loved Rage! I need to pick up The Scorchers.

the two that spring to mind would have to be Sleeping Dogs and Spec Ops: The Line
Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition
XCOM Enemy Unknown
Borderlands 2
Last year was great. Indie awesomeness seemed to be my theme: Legend of Grimrock, FTL, Anomaly. There were quite a few more that I liked, but these were amazing. Non-indie goodness: Borderlands 2, Arkham City, Darksiders
The games that I bought this year that I really enjoyed were:
Hotline Miami
Metal Slug Collection PC (specifically Metal Slug 1-3)
Darkstone
Commandos: Strike Force
Far Cry 3
Normality
Red Faction: Guerrillas
Portal 2 and Super Meat Boy were the best games I played last year. It may be a bit unfair with other games because I have around 30 in my backlog and I chose to play these 2 before many others, but I can't help the fact that I loved both of them to death.
Games I bought this year that I love would have to start with Heroes of Might and Magic V along with Divine Divinity and others I got here at GOG ... But I must say what I really Love is taking a chance and getting MASS EFFECT 1,2 and 3 and DEAD ISLAND GOTY and DOOM 3 and all the Dungeon Siege and Warhammer games as well as FEAR and Shadow Ops Red Mercury when on sale from Steam, Origin and Amazon during their Sales and finding out they work good on my Walmart emachine that has a Intel G41 Express Chip instead of a Real Graphic card.
Black Ops 2, Halo 4, New Super Mario Bros U.
Diablo 3, Mists of Pandaria, The Witcher 2
Quite surprised by Eador: Genesis.
on the whole, there were only a few actual purchases I made (having a non-functioning rig for the whole year until november) but the most surprising purchase was batman:arkham asylum - id little interest in it, but bagged it at 75% off during the sales, intending to gift it. curiosity got the better of me and i found it to be a refreshingly playable superhero licence game, and more so for thefact the gameplay is primarily something I normally wouldnt go for.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Changed my freaking life.
Miasmata! Best purchase I've made in a long time. Worth every cent of the $15 I spent.
Freespace 1 and 2

The Blackwell Legacy

Resonance

Defender's Quest

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition

To The Moon

Painkiller

... Analogue: A Hate Story

And Portal 1.

Joined GOG fairly early in 2012, and since my entry into the workforce 2012 has been a critical gaming year for this happy customer!
Borderlands 2
Defender's Quest (OK only played the demo but ummm ahhing over buying it before sale finishes on GOG)
