They did, actually. I had a leather cover for my breadbox. One time, I'd taken it off to play, and I'd accidentally dropped it on top of the PSU. Several hours later when I picked it up, the plastic casing of the PSU had melted! And it still worked perfectly. They sure don't make'em like they used to.
